Biodegradable Media
To understand biodegradable media, let's get back to the roots. Or in our case - trees! Symphony produces two types of media, both natural, both made from trees, and both completely biodegradable.
Natural aspen media is produced from actual shavings from aspen trees. The absorbency of this material has proven to be ideal for use in evaporative coolers, and just like trees, once discarded, it's completely biodegradable.
Symphony Premium media is manufactured from paper. It looks like paper, feels like paper, and has the absorbent properties of paper. The paper is simply woven into a honeycomb pattern to make it more durable and provide a larger surface area for effective evaporative cooling. And like natural aspen pads, when discarded, it's 100% biodegradable.
